Real Pig farming

The biggest question I get asked regularly is: "Why do you keep pigs inside of barns instead of outside?" Keeping pigs inside of a barn is a disease prevention protocol. Pigs are highly susceptible to diseases and keeping them inside helps protect them. It keeps them from getting sunburnt as well. Most barns have a shower-in entry procedure with bird fencing surrounding the curtains to keep unwanted critters out, which might be carrying disease.
